Why BellaVision?
We know you have a number of early childhood education choices for your child, and we think it’s important to find a program that makes the most of a child’s critical learning time from birth to age five. Montessori is a philosophy of teaching used all over the world, yet not all Montessori schools are created equally. As fully licensed and a nationally recognized Montessori school, we take great strides in keeping true to the Montessori vision while constantly evaluating our methods and curriculum to incorporate the latest methodologies. We see each child as a valued individual and incorporate their needs into every activity throughout the day.
Our School Identity and Nature-Based Learning
Our identity as a school is set on developing a culture and community of respect, inclusion and care for one’s self, others and the world around us. To that end, we have a special focus on natural conservatism and care. When young children experience education out of doors, they go “beyond the walls” and tap into their innate fascination with the natural world. We believe children should have the freedom to share, move, question, make decisions and interact, and nature-based exploratory learning allows for all of this. We emphasize activities that build positive communication skills, care and stewardship of the natural world, along with independence and critical thinking skills inside and outside of the classroom.
What a Typical Day Looks Like
Whether they’re in preschool or aftercare, when your children attend BellaVision Montessori School, they will be engaged throughout the day. From independent learning times where they have a say in how they learn, to outdoor kinesthetic activities that foster a love of nature, we create engrossing activities that will help develop your children’s cognitive abilities along with their social skills. We incorporate the arts throughout all of our lessons, and we encourage creative problem-solving skills with each activity, using finely crafted Montessori-based manipulatives. We help foster a critical thinking mindset by helping the children ask questions and obtain their own answers. At BellaVision Montessori School, your child will be supported and thrive.
Growing Your Child’s Critical Mind and Independence
The BellaVision Montessori method helps to promote children’s critical thinking skills by allowing for independent, discovery-based learning. Montessori at its heart is “I can do it myself!” and with our high-quality manipulatives, effective social skill modeling and interactive, hands-on activities, we encourage children to build their patience, independence and creativity — all at the same time.
Engaging Every Learning Style
Howard Gardner, an acclaimed developmental psychologist, maintained that every human being has a distinct learning modality or learning mind. At BellaVision Montessori School, we believe that, by engaging every child’s unique learning process through independent learning activities, art, nature and hands-on lessons, we can help them achieve independence and responsibility in how they learn. Our instructors are skilled in helping young learners communicate with one another, engage in communal learning opportunities, and retain their autonomy while showing respect. Engage your child’s creative mind and see them blossom; find out more about enrolling them in our school.
